On this date I have signed the following bill, passed by the second session    
of the Twenty-first Alaska State Legislature, and am transmitting the          
engrossed and enrolled copies to the Lieutenant Governor's Office for

259(JUD) An Act relating to crimes and offenses                                
relating to aural representations, recordings, access                          
devices, identification documents, impersonation,                              
false reports, and computers; and providing for an

This Act creates new responsibilities for the Alaska State Troopers.           
Unfortunately, the Legislature refused the Administration's request for        
one additional Trooper position, which was to be assigned to work

cooperatively with  the FBI and Anchorage Police Department units              
on cybercrime cases.  For lack of resources, the full significance of
